Registering new university organizations is not a problem for us - ASUU

The National Union of University Teachers ASUU said the registration of new trade unions by the government for university teachers is only a plan, and that will never be a threat to the union.

The National President of ASUU Professor Emmanuel Osodeke said this while talking to Vanguard newspaper regarding the registration of new unions by the Minister of Labor on Tuesday.  "Nothing bothers us.

We are a group with discipline and direction and we know what we are doing and what we are looking for. They can register many groups if they want.  In our opinion, this will not have any effect.  And we don't feel any threat.  God's country is wide!  "We know our representatives, we know our strengths and we know what we are aiming for and what we are predicting.

Our representatives are not saboteurs and they are not crooks. Our struggle is to improve education in this country.

If the system is good, we will all benefit, not only the members of ASUU will benefit from the improvement of funding for education and better learning materials in the universities," said Professor Emmanuel.
