The Union of Nigerian Universities ASUU will sue the government over the registration of the new organizations of teachers namely CONUA and NAMDA (Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics, and National Association of Medical and Dental Academics) ASUU's lawyer, Femi Falana, said this in an interview on Channels Television, today Thursday, where he said they will challenge the registration of the two groups.
On Tuesday, the Minister of Labor, Chris Ngige, issued a certificate of registration to the two new organizations that are rivals to ASUU.
While giving them Ngige's document, he said the two groups will exist side by side with ASUU> ASUU has been on strike since the 14th of February, where its members, namely the teachers of public universities, have stopped working due to the refusal to pay them allowances and asking for better welfare and other demands from the federal government.
